One of our SVSG Samoa Government Funding project engaging parents of child vendors in a Positive Discipline Parenting programme, moved to livelihood training facilitated and led by one of our experienced Nofotane trainer making seis. This was a training requested by the parents to earn extra money by learning to make handicrafts. During the start of the 16 days of Activism, our SVSG Juniors followed up with these parents and former child vendors on their progress from their programme. From humble beginnings to Financial Independence - The Nofotane Project

The SVSG Samoa project for Sustainable Income Generation and Self Employment of Nofotane SVSG, part of the UN Women Fund for Gender Equality (2016 – 2018) it provides livelihood training workshops for over 5,000 unemployed Nofotane women. The Steering committees for this visited the Nofotane shop located within the SVSG Samoa office in Apia, the committee saw some of the products that were created by the women who attended the Nofotane training that started in 2016.
