Nofotane beautiful Turtle coconut jewelry sets

The sea turtle is very important in the Samoan culture and is believed to have the power to save fishermen when they are lost at sea.  Hence they are formally called the 'i'a sa' translated to 'sacred fish'.  Traditionally Samoan harvested sea turtles for food and their shells are made into beautiful handicrafts and jewelry.  This beautiful creature is now protected all over Samoa.  In our Nofotane Shop we have these beautiful turtle necklaces and earrings sets made by the coconut shells and painted in the vibrant colours of our island. #SamoanTurtle #SacredFish #NofotaneTurtleJewelrySets #EUFunded #CSSP #SVSGNofotane
